Chat in Indic languages in Google talk using Firefox browser
Do you want to chat in Tamil or other Indic languages in Gtalk service?. Then go and grab this Firefox add-on Google Indic transliterator. After installing the add-on restart your Firefox browser and go to the Tools -> Add-ons -> and click Google Indic transliteration options and click the check box to enable transliterator for text boxes too and choose your default Indic language. This will enable you to type in any Indic languages in any textboxes within Firefox browser.

Whenever you click any textboxes in Firefox browser you will get and option to turn transliteration on and off. You can also change your transliteration language preference from there itself. In this screenshot i have typed a welcome message to my buddy in Indic language Tamil.
If you want to enable Google Indic transliteration in Gmail you can do it without need of an add-on. Go to setting in your Gmail account and under general tab change your language preferences. Enable message translation if you need to convert mails from other languages to English and enable transliteration to transliterate in Indic languages. While transliteration will only work in IE and Firefox.
After enable the transliteration you will get and option to enable and disable the transliteration while composing mail in Gmail.
