Improved Google web history removal

Google has recently improved their search box size for better usability. With these improvements there is one more i could see is the option to remove the web  history for a specific search term from the search suggestion box  itself. This helps to remove only the unwanted search term not the entire web history.

Click the remove button to the right of the search suggestion that you want to remove from the web history.

Google web history removalI didn’t saw this remove button before this updates. Is this because of the recent updates or its already there.
